They are made of high tensile cast iron, minimize distortion and well ribbed. They are ground finish with webbed end. Slotted pattern to allow for easy flexible set-up of fixturing components. They provide a versatile means of holding work for layout, machining and inspection and also are widely used as vertical reference. All machined faces are square and parallel. They can be made in single piece or in two sections.
